Jesy Nelson has officially entered her mum era — and she’s done it in a big way.
The former Little Mix star has given birth to twin daughters with her boyfriend Zion Foster. The babies arrived early, but Jesy says they’re doing well — and fans are already obsessed with their gorgeous, unique names.
Jesy shared the happy news on Instagram with a black and white photo of her tattooed hand cradling the tiny feet of her newborn twins. She kept the caption simple and heartfelt:
“Our girls. 31/5/24. 🥹🥹👣🫶🏽🕊️”
The post racked up hundreds of thousands of likes in just hours, with fans and celebrity friends rushing to share their love and congratulations.
Stylish Names: Ocean Jade and Story Monroe
A few days later, Jesy returned to Instagram to reveal her daughters’ names: Ocean Jade and Story Monroe.
The post featured a snap of two hospital cots labelled with the babies’ names — and honestly, could they sound more like future icons?
Jesy didn’t give an explanation for the name choices, but the internet was full of admiration.
Fans called them “beautiful,” “unique,” and “so Jesy.” Whether she was inspired by nature, storytelling, or just a love for lyrical, memorable names, the vibe is totally on brand.
A Complicated and Emotional Pregnancy

While the birth announcement came as a surprise to many, Jesy later shared that the reason for her silence was a difficult and risky pregnancy.
In a statement posted to Instagram on June 15, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) earlier in the pregnancy — a rare but serious condition that can affect identical twins who share a placenta.
TTTS causes an imbalance in blood flow between the babies, putting both at significant risk.
Jesy wrote:
“In March I was diagnosed with something called T.T.T.S (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome), a rare condition that affects identical twins who share a placenta. Our babies’ lives were in danger, we were told they needed to come out immediately.”
She went on to explain that she underwent emergency laser surgery to try and save both babies, and afterwards, she and Zion moved into the hospital so doctors could monitor the pregnancy closely.
“The surgery was a success but we were told we were not out of the woods yet and I was at risk of going into labour at any point. So me and Zion lived at the hospital for over 2 months whilst our babies were closely monitored by the amazing specialists.”
Early Arrival But Strong and Healthy
On May 31st, after nearly two months of hospital living, Jesy gave birth to Ocean and Story at just over 31 weeks — around two months premature. But despite arriving early, Jesy confirmed that her daughters are “healthy and fighting strong.”
Preterm birth is common in complicated twin pregnancies, and babies born at 31 weeks typically need extra support in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Jesy hasn’t shared many details about their time in NICU, but in her post, she thanked the hospital team for their care.
“We cannot thank the doctors and nurses at the hospital enough. They are angels. Thank you for saving our babies.”
The post was accompanied by a black and white photo of Jesy and Zion holding their daughters’ tiny hands. The image, though simple, was full of emotion — and showed just how far they’ve come as a family already.
Zion Foster: A Supportive Partner Behind the Scenes

Jesy also gave a heartfelt mention to her partner Zion Foster, calling him her “rock.”
The couple has kept their relationship relatively private, but it’s clear from her posts that they’ve been through a lot together over the past few months.
Zion, a singer and songwriter known for his smooth R&B sound, has been by Jesy’s side throughout her pregnancy and the birth of their girls.
Fans were quick to praise how supportive he’s been, especially during such a challenging time.
Jesy’s words said it all: “Me and Zion are feeling so overwhelmed with love and we’re just taking in every second with our little angels.”
Messages of Support — Including From Her Ex
Jesy’s post attracted thousands of messages of support, including one from her ex-boyfriend Chris Hughes.
The Love Island star commented on her Instagram announcement with:
“Congrats both of you, stunning ❤️”
It was a short but classy message, and fans appreciated the kind gesture from her former partner.
While Jesy hasn’t commented on the response directly, she did say in her post: “Your kind messages honestly meant the world to us.”
What’s Next for Jesy?
For now, Jesy seems to be focusing fully on her new role as a mum. She hasn’t hinted at any upcoming music or public appearances, and with two premature babies in NICU, it’s likely she’ll be staying out of the spotlight for a little while.
But fans are already calling this her “soft girl era,” and many are looking forward to seeing how this new chapter shapes her future. From her emotional honesty to her strength through a very difficult pregnancy, Jesy’s latest journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
One thing’s for sure — Ocean Jade and Story Monroe have a very strong, very loving mum. And we can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes Jesy.
