There is a certain celebrity couple that has been getting a lot of attention over the last year or so.
She shares a daughter with One Direction’s Zayn Malik and was also dating Leonardo Di Caprio for a time, he was married to Jennifer Esposito and has a daughter with model, Irena Shayk.
I am of course talking about Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper.
Maybe we can call them Bradgi. Are we still doing that celebrity ship naming thing?
Anyway, the point is that they are now a solid couple, and I wanted to take a look at their relationship in more detail. So here is everything you wanted to know about Gigi and Bradley’s relationship status.
Relationship Timeline
Gigi and Bradley’s relationship began like many celebrity hook ups – with rumour and speculation.
It has gone on for long enough now that people finally accept they are an item, so here’s how they got to this point:
- October 5th, 2023 – Photographed together leaving Via Carota after dinner. No signs of affection, but since he is an actor and she is a model, they weren’t exactly there on a business meeting.
- October 8th, 2023 – The pair are pictured removing overnight bags from the same car. Rumours spread they went on a weekend trip together.
- Mid October, 2023 – ‘Sources’ confirm the beginnings of a relationship are there, but that the couple are just having fun.
- November 1st, 2023 – Date night at the theatre caught by the press.
- November 6th, 2023 – Article reveals Hadid and Bradley’s relationship is on steroids. They are very excited about each other, talk every say and go out of their way to see each other in person. Gigi appreciates Cooper’s maturity and respect, apparently finding him different to any other man she has dated, while Bradley finds Hadid intellectually stimulating. All this from more ‘sources’, of course.
- December 6th, 2023 – Hadid drops a not so subtle hint about their relationship via Instagram. She published a picture of Cooper wearing a Guest In Residence jacket – which is her brand – as part of a marketing post.
- December 14th, 2023 – It is revealed that Bradley Cooper spent $6.5 million on a huge farm house estate close to Gigi Hadid’s family farm near New Hope, on the border of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Cooper is originally from Philadelphia, which is also close by, but still.
- February 2nd, 2024 – Another source tells media outlets that the couple are officially in love!
- February 14th, 2024 – If anyone still needed convincing, the couple are pictured spending Valentine’s Day together in New York.
- March 14th, 2024 – For the first time, public displays of affection were caught on camera. Quite an achievement considering they had been dating for 6 months by this point.
- April 23rd, 2024 – The pair celebrate Hadid’s 29th birthday at a party. Instagram pictures show them all loved up, with Gigi’s family also looking very happy.
- August 31st, 2024 – For the first time, Bradley Cooper’s daughter, Lea, is photographed with them both. They are also seen kissing. This was during a holiday to Italy.
From this point on it was essentially a long string of sightings at various beautiful and luxurious locations, and fun looking events.
The idea of an engagement has been discussed by outsiders, but those close to the couple say despite them being in a serious committed relationship, marriage would seem like a very big step at this point in time.
In April 2025, Gigi Hadid spoke about their relationship in the most detail so far. She mentioned many things she admires about Bradley Cooper, and reasons she feels thankful for their relationship. Perhaps her most telling quote, though, was:
“To find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve…and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be. I just feel really lucky. Yeah, lucky’s the word.”

The Age Gap
One of the big talking point regarding their relationship, is the age gap.
Gigi Hadid turned 29 in 2025, the same year that Bradley Cooper turned 50. That’s a 21 year age difference.
Far from being an issue, this seems to be one of the reasons they get on so well. Hadid has said in several interviews that she values Bradley’s life experience and maturity, and stated they are very romantic together and very happy.
They are both at similar stages in life too, despite the age gap. They both co-parent. They both have daughters of similar ages, and they both want a quiet, respectful, and adult relationship. They are career driven, but are not interested in the publicity side of things any further than they have to be for the projects they work on.
At this point in their lives, the 21 year age difference is not a big deal. Plus, it worked out for Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, and the age difference between them is even wider.
The Kids
The most important thing in all of this for both parties, has been their children.
Both Bradley and Gigi take their role as parents incredibly seriously, and it took a while before they introduced each other to their children. Cooper’s daughter, Lea, 7 at the time of writing, and Khai, 4 at the time of writing, is Hadid’s daughter.
They didn’t want to rush into introductions before they were certain the relationship was going somewhere, and that makes total sense.
Lea’s mother, Irena Shayk, has been nothing but supportive of the blossoming romance, and in fact, it was she who introduced them. You read that right, Cooper’s ex and the mother of his daughter is partially responsible for his new relationship. Shayk and Hadid are friends from the modelling world, and Irena introduced Gigi and Bradley at a backyard birthday party for the child of a mutual friend.
Zayn Malik, Hadid’s ex-partner and father of her daughter, was reportedly less happy with her new ‘taken’ status, but has been supportive nonetheless, wanting only what is best for her and their daughter.
The two girls are only 3 years apart and have now shared time with their respective parent and their new partner alone and together as a four. Apparently, Khai and Lea have a very sweet relationship.
Sounds like the perfect example of a blended family, if you ask me!
