Celebs Take on the 2025 London Marathon – Here’s How They Got On

The sun was shining, the crowds were roaring, and the celebrities were sweating buckets as they tackled the 2025 London Marathon yesterday.

It was a day packed with emotional highs, heroic struggles, and a lot of very sore feet, as some of the UK’s biggest stars joined 50,000 runners pounding the capital’s streets.

From Made in Chelsea stars to Radio 1 DJs, from soap legends to YouTube sensations, the famous faces were out in full force — and we’ve got the lowdown on who smashed it, who struggled, and who stole our hearts.

Spencer Matthews: Marathon Machine

Spencer Matthews left everyone eating his dust as the fastest celebrity of the day. The former Made In Chelsea star clocked an incredible time of 3 hours, 7 minutes, and 25 seconds — and he wasn’t even satisfied with it!

Taking to Instagram post-race, Spencer admitted he got a bit overexcited early on:

“I came out a little too hard and lost pace towards the end but learnt a lot from the experience and will be coming for that ‘Sub 3’ later this year.”

Sub-three? We’re exhausted just thinking about it.

Spencer was running in support of Michael Matthews Foundation, in memory of his brother — a cause close to his heart that’s clearly spurring him on to even greater heights.

Harry Judd

McFly drummer Harry Judd also smashed it with a brilliant time of 3:15:20.

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing — Harry described it as “one hell of a grind”, revealing on social media:

“The second half was definitely the hardest of the six marathons I’ve done.”

Yep, six. At this point, Harry’s practically a professional. Maybe next year he can drum his way around for extra style points?

Harry was running for the mental health charity Calm, and judging by the sweat on his face at the finish line, he gave it everything he had.

Adele Roberts: Total Inspiration

Radio 1 DJ and Dancing on Ice star Adele Roberts was one of the most inspiring runners of the day. She ran a stunning 3:36:15 while living with a stoma bag after bowel cancer surgery.

Adele, who has made it her mission to show that illness doesn’t define you, said before the race she hoped to “make her stoma proud.” Safe to say — mission accomplished.

Sam Heughan and Joe Sugg

Outlander heartthrob Sam Heughan put in a strong shift, finishing in 3:45:39, while YouTuber and Strictly alum Joe Sugg crossed the line at 4:08:26 with a big smile (and probably some very sore legs).

Joe later joked that he might “stick to dancing” in future — but we reckon he did brilliantly.

Actor Kedar Williams-Stirling (Sex Education) also finished in a very respectable 3:42:45.

Soap Stars and Comedians

EastEnders icon Adam Woodyatt — aka Ian Beale himself — battled through to finish in 5:17:23, while comedian Romesh Ranganathan had a tough day at the office but soldiered on to cross the line at 6:02:28.

Romesh was brutally honest about his experience afterwards:

“I didn’t make the sub-5 I was going for but early on it was clear the conditions weren’t ideal. Proper hot. Towards the end both my calves cramped up and I started to feel quite faint. But it’s done.”

We love a bit of honesty — and frankly, running 26.2 miles in that heat is a huge achievement no matter the time!

Joel Dommett also battled through tough conditions to finish in 6:03:27 — proving once again that the London Marathon is less about pace and more about sheer bloody-minded determination.

Kelly Brook’s Emotional Journey

Glamorous as ever, Kelly Brook was all smiles (and a few tears!) as she completed her marathon journey in 6:42:20.

The model and presenter was running for Great Ormond Street Hospital, and was clearly overwhelmed with emotion as she crossed the finish line, telling supporters:

“It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done but also the most rewarding. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on!”

Between Kelly’s huge grin and the tears streaming down her face, it was clear this was a personal triumph she’ll never forget, and she did it for the kids.

We’re not crying, you’re crying.

Celebs Winning Hearts and Miles

It wasn’t just about personal bests and selfies — every celebrity out there was raising serious cash for brilliant charities.

From mental health organisations to children’s hospitals and cancer research, the money and awareness raised will change lives.

Whether it was Spencer running for his brother’s legacy, Adele showing the power of survival, or Harry pounding the streets for mental health, every single one of them made a difference yesterday.

As always, the London Marathon brought out the very best in people — including our celebrities.

Some smashed their goals. Some limped over the line. Some (hello Romesh!) probably swore quite a lot. But all of them showed courage, commitment, and a good sense of humour — and isn’t that what the marathon spirit is all about?

One thing’s for sure: when it comes to heart, these celebs are true champions.

Roll on 2026!
